Kyle's signature on the forum is: "Boost it, break it, rebuild it stronger, repeat process…" and he lives by this motto with every car he owns. His obsession with boost began with a Dodge Turbo Diesel that he started to build right after finishing high school. Although he bought the truck stock, it didn't take him long to source every part imaginable to make 727 horsepower and run a 13.4 @ 105 MPH quarter mile. Shortly after achieving his goal of owning one of the fastest trucks in his hometown, he knew he wanted something smaller and faster. He knew…
I recently had the opportunity to drive a brand new Storm Silver Metallic 2011 Honda CR-Z. When this car was first announced, along with many other Honda fans, I was ecstatic. I was quickly let down when I found out that they only planned on offering the CR-Z as a hybrid in the US. While I understand Honda's logic behind marketing the car to a younger, more environmentally friendly demographic, I think the potential for this car is huge. Had they placed a K-series in the car – even a K20 from the base model RSX – this car would…
I was able to attend a local car meet last night that was held in honor of a friend to many car enthusiasts in the region. Although I didn't know Sam Davis that well, he was a great friend to many people and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
This Integra has been a work in progress for Derrick_D since he was in high school. Although this car began life as a daily driver, it wasn't long until Derrick's thirst for power began. Once graduating from high school, a JDM GSR engine and transmission were swapped into the car. This allowed him the same reliability as before but with a fresh engine and transmission to build upon.
Although I'm a little late, I thought I would write a post about Scion's new FR-S (FT-86) concept car that is soon to be a production model. What started as a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru has turned into the work of art you see in front of you. There have been many iterations of this concept car with the latest being the closest to production. Details from the Scion press release state that the FR-S stands for Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive, Sport. The car was inspired by the AE86 Corolla in the sense that the goal for the FR-S was…
This year's Forum Fest will be held at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA (the same place as the spring Honda-Tech meet) on June 25. They will have drifting, drag racing, and a car show. This sounds like it may be one of the largest meets in the Pacific Northwest for 2011 so don't miss out! More details below:
Yesterday I attended the Honda-Tech meet at Pacific Raceways in Kent with some other members of Import Meet. We had a great time despite the amount of rain we had. The event was very well organized with only one incident that I know of. NOS Energy Drinks and Gravity Motorsports were great sponsors and I also saw a large booth from Speedfactory. There were probably around 1000 cars throughout the day and this was one of the largest meets I have ever went to. There we so many awesome cars that we had a difficult time capturing all of the…
