With the start of the year we feel that now is the perfect time to announce that we are looking for talented media contributors for 2014.

If you are passionate about import cars and have any of the following skills we want to hear from you:

Photography
Videography
Blogging
Graphic Design
Social Media Management

What you will gain from working with us:

  • Experience – You will work with our existing staff to learn new skills or further develop existing ones
  • Event Media Access – You will gain free access to events under the ImportMeet.com name (Evergreen Drift events, Forum Fest, Nissan Fest, etc.)
  • Exposure/Credit – Every piece of work you produce will be attributed to you, will be viewed by thousands of visitors to our website, and your social media page(s) will be tagged whenever we share your content
  • Potential Project Car Sponsorship – Project cars on ImportMeet.com have a higher chance of being sponsored by aftermarket companies than private cars; if you have a build that our readers would be interested in following this might be your way of getting sponsored

Criteria:

  • Photographers/videographers should be using DSLR cameras or camcorders
  • Bloggers should send examples of written work – formatting of images within text is not critical
  • Social media managers should send links to pages that they currently manage
  • Designers should be skilled using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • If you are located in the Pacific Northwest you will have better access to our staff and events but your location is not critical

Note: All positions will be treated as unpaid internships. As your relationship with us develops, opportunities for paid projects may come up. Depending on your skill level, paid projects from businesses that we work with may be referred to you.

If you are interested, please send an email to info (at) importmeet.com with examples of your work.

Matt created ImportMeet.com in 2011 after noticing a lack of media websites dedicated exclusively to import cars. Although he's employed as an engineer and has no formal training in journalism, his skills continue to develop as the editor for the site. He enjoys writing feature car articles, technical build/project articles, and organizing events. Matt drives a 2023 Honda Civic Type R and a 1990 LS-swapped Mazda RX-7.

I am a newly graduated graphic designer, I graduated as a level designer for video GAMES but my passion became more about cars. If given the opportunity I will Work hard to exceed your expectations. I am currently working at Directv as a test software engineer, I know what it takes to meet deadlines and too work in teams. I am well organized and pay close attention to detail. I hope to hear from you soon and thank you for your time.

    Sincerely

    Giovanni Tenorio.

After graduating from the University of Arizona in May 2011, I went to Scottsdale, AZ where I worked for a chain of high end dealerships which included Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Maserati. My job was to photograph the cars and put them online for sale. I was working with cars I never thought I would ever get a chance to be around. Our shoots were very structured, but I always took extras for my own collection. Since moving to Seattle in January I want to continue my passion for photography and love of the car culture. If you’re still looking for photographers I would be more than happy to try out.
