Lately I've been contemplating building a track car that can bring exposure to the site and also a build that everyone can follow on the blog. The only criteria I have at this point is that it must be able to compete in drifting, drag racing, and autocross events.

Big thank you to everyone who supported our new event, @supersummermeet on Saturday. This was an experiment with how we could throw an evening event and the unpredictable weather made it super difficult to organize and more importantly promote. We appreciate those who still came out and participated despite wet conditions all over the NW.
We’ve already started thinking of how to improve things and know that with a better weather forecast the turnout would have been higher. We also need to seriously consider whether renting such a big facility with so many competing events in the early summer is feasible. The number of smaller meets, shows, and other events in general has quadrupled in the last couple of years.

We are so excited to announce that @sportdrivingmotors will be providing ride-alongs starting at 4pm and running until we shut down the track around 10pm at @theplacetorace. If you`ve ever wanted to experience what it`s like to be in one of these incredible machines, now is your chance! See the second image/slide for pricing.
This includes the payment to @proformanceracingschool for the Lead/Follow laps on track and the time for the driver. We want to continue to develop this part of the event in future years so we can`t wait to see how it goes.

Our event with StanceWars at @theplacetorace will be held from 4-10pm which we hope is late enough in the day that whatever the weather is going to do is done by then. This is a brand new event and an experiment for what we can do in the evening format. Lead / Follow will still be happening on track all evening.
