What an event! Our team of photographers and videographers had the pleasure of covering Formula DRIFT Round 5 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA last weekend. We do have a significant number of photos of the drifting to share, but in this part of our coverage, we're going to show pictures from the pits, vendor area, and the car show. Since FD is such a huge event it's difficult to show everything in one chunk.

Even though it rained on Friday, the NOS girls and everyone else continued to have a great time in their dance area. On day 1, Pro-Am practice was canceled due to the weather but by the time qualifying began, the track was dry and the event continued as planned.

On both days, spectators were lined along the wall nearest the starting point of the track to get as close as possible to the action.

The Slammed Society show organized by Fatlace had a wide variety of cars including Abbitt Wilkerson's beautiful stanced STi.

Local favorites and some fresh cars from Canada were present at the show. It was nice to see some unique cars including the military spec vinyl-wrapped BMW which can be seen in the gallery below.

Nearly every make and model was represented in the car show and most of them were tastefully modified.

Radium Engineering had their Lotus Elise on display showing some of the parts they produce. Part 2 of our coverage which contains all of our drifting photos and coverage of the competition will be posted soon. Check out the full gallery below for even more great photos from the show and pit area.

Matt created ImportMeet.com in 2011 after noticing a lack of media websites dedicated exclusively to import cars. Although he's employed as an engineer and has no formal training in journalism, his skills continue to develop as the editor for the site. He enjoys writing feature car articles, technical build/project articles, and organizing events. Matt drives a 2023 Honda Civic Type R and a 1990 LS-swapped Mazda RX-7.
