Support PGP Meet – May 26th 2012 – Kent, WA

Last summer, PGP Motorsports Park was one of busiest tracks in Washington for amateur drifting and lapping days. It was an affordable location where enthusiasts could spend time with their friends and safely enjoy their cars. Recently, operations have been restricted to four-stroke go karts by King County. The full details regarding the Conditional Use Permit can be read here.

As expected, many car enthusiasts in the area are upset about the ruling. ImportMeet.com was approached to organize a meet to show support for PGP during these difficult times. Our goal for this meet is to bring out every make and model of car (import and domestic) and have a large meet at their facility. PGP has held so many great events that it's our turn to show them that we will continue to support them.

When:
May 26, 2012 – 11am – 5pm

Where:
PGP Motorsports Park
31001 144th Ave SE
Kent, WA 98042
Map

What:
Multi-forum meet to show support for PGP. The track will be hot and their 45mph go karts will be available to rent. $25 for 15 minute Go Kart session is the base price and competitions will be setup throughout the day. A DJ will be present and NOS Energy Drink is supplying energy drinks for the meet.

Rules:
No revving
No racing
No burnouts
No littering/stealing

Cost:
FREE to attend ($25/session for kart rentals)

Competitions (1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each):
Fastest Lap of the Day
Fastest Ladies Lap of the Day
Fastest Forum (average of all members competing)
Kart Drifting Competition

Food/Drinks/Other:
Happy Grillmore will be the food vendor for this event (cash only). PGP will be having a beer garden (cash only) with all of the proceeds going to their legal fund. StickerUp Vinyls is cutting stickers for the meet and they will be sold for $4 each or 3 for $10. All of the profits from sticker sales will also be going towards the PGP legal fund.

Parking:
Approximately 150 paved parking spots are available. These spots are reserved for people who RSVP before the meet using the form in this post. To RSVP and save your spot on the paved section of the meet, you must be a member of ImportMeet.com. It's completely FREE to become a member on ImportMeet.com and you can register here.

If you don't want your car on display or can't RSVP to save a spot, the large gravel parking lot across the street is open for overflow parking.

RSVP and save a spot on paved parking:

Registration is now closed. Overflow parking will be available in the gravel lot across the street from PGP.

Once you’ve logged into the forum you should be able to come back to this post and see a form above asking for your name, email, make, model and year. Let me know if you don’t see it when you’re logged in.

I would also like to add that I am doing mass suspension modds this weekend and coilovers are coming in monday so my subie will be as low as I can go with the wheels/tires I have. It will be much more appealing then my stock 4×4 height that the picture shows. Hopefully that makes me worthy of a paved parking spot. Thanks.

Did you login? I noticed that you never activated your account (your email probably put it in the spam section).

Your account is activated now and you can login on the right hand side of the page. Once you have logged in, you will see the form on this page and can enter your details to reserve your spot.

Matt, I just wanted to let you know I will not be able to attend this event this weekend. So that gives you one more open parking spot on pavement. Work needs me for some OT. πŸ™

    Hey Matt,

Just wondering if there’s a certain time that we have to be parked in our reserved spot before it gets given away. I know the event starts at 11 a.m, but I don’t think I’m going to be able to make it until 1 p.m. Thanks!

I don’t think we can hold your spot until 1pm. If there is still room at 1, come find me at the ImportMeet.com tent and I’ll see what I can do.

I RSVPd saying I was gonna be driving my Miata (it’s stock but for the roll bar so it’s not all that exciting) but now I’m thinking of riding my SuperMoto… Does it matter which one I bring? Will there be room either way? Thanks.
