Yesterday, ImportMeet.com was invited to a dyno day at Racing Greed in Port Coquitlam, BC. Racing Greed (or RG for short) is a well-established shop known for building high end import cars in BC. Their shop is equipped with multiple lifts and a Mustang dyno which locals refer to as "The Heartbreak Dyno." Mustang dynos typically read lower than Dynojet or other styles of dynamometers which is how their dyno got its nickname. From what RG says, their dyno results are consistently 75% of an engine's crank horsepower.

Our group left Lynden around 10am and only had to wait at the border for a few minutes. It took us about an hour to reach Racing Greed and when we arrived they were already testing cars.

We toured the shop and took a look at some of the projects that they are currently working on. They also had hot dogs on the BBQ and drinks available for everyone in attendance. This was a nice gesture and our group appreciated it.

This DSM engine (I didn't look at the engine code – most likely 4G63) was on display which showed off their metal fabrication work.

This Supra had one of the cleanest engine bays I've ever seen. The car was top notch and all of us were very impressed. Apparently it makes over 500 horsepower on RG's dyno.

This 3 rotor RX-7 was badass. You don't see a 3 rotor RX-7 too often so it was quite a surprise to see it under the hood.

There was also a nice RHD FD outside with a monster turbo. It ran on the dyno shortly after we arrived and made mid 300's for horsepower.

Awesome weather and loud car noises made for a great day. We want to thank Racing Greed for hosting the event and inviting us to their shop. We look forward to seeing their group at Mission Raceway this summer.

Here are the results of the top 10 cars for the day (provided by Tariq from Racing Greed):

1. Andrew – 2005 G35 (twin turbo) ~ 400 whp
2. Kyle – 1996 240sx (sr20det) ~ 395 whp
3. Jordan – 2007 BMW M3 (Supercharged) ~ 372 whp
4. Matt – 1993 RX-7 (LS1) ~ 358 whp
5. Todd – 2010 Challenger (125 shot NOS) ~ 358 whp
6. Jamie – 1991 240sx (sr20det) ~ 358 whp

Matt created ImportMeet.com in 2011 after noticing a lack of media websites dedicated exclusively to import cars. Although he's employed as an engineer and has no formal training in journalism, his skills continue to develop as the editor for the site. He enjoys writing feature car articles, technical build/project articles, and organizing events. Matt drives a 2023 Honda Civic Type R and a 1990 LS-swapped Mazda RX-7.
