Import Meet would like to formally announce plans to sponsor the 2nd Annual Mt. Baker Import Run!  Some of the founders of Import Meet were in attendance last year and it was a great time so we figured that this would be an ideal meet to sponsor.  The goal this year is to completely fill the Heather Meadows parking lot with as many import cars as possible.  As you can see in the gallery at the bottom of this post, the organizers had a wide variety of cars show up to the July 3rd 2010 meet.  Please see below for further details about the run:

July 16th 2011
Pre-Meet – Sunset Square (Cost Cutter parking lot)
1275 E. Sunset Drive
Bellingham, WA 98226
Meet at 9:00 AM – Leave at 10:00 AM

NOS Energy Drink has decided to help sponsor the event!  A representative will be in attendance handing out FREE energy drinks!

Who's invited?
Everyone is welcome to come.  All makes and models are welcome, but the primary focus will be on import cars.  You don't have to be a member of the site to be present, but we would prefer an RSVP in this forum thread if you plan on attending.  You are NOT welcome if you drive like a jackass or will make the group look bad in public.  If you burnout, rev, race, or perform any other sort of horseplay with your vehicle, you will be asked to leave.  Speeding is not endorsed and it would be preferred if everyone would drive responsibly.

No revving, racing and/or burnouts
No speeding
No stealing
No littering
NO PASSING – added because of the large quantity of cars

What's the plan?
The plan is to meet in Bellingham, WA in the Cost Cutter parking lot of Sunset Square (address is above).  We will meet & greet each other in the parking lot and let people have a chance to get gas before we head out.  We will exit as a group and begin down Mt. Baker Highway until we reach the Heather Meadows parking lot at the Mt. Baker Ski Area.  A BBQ will be set up in the parking lot and hot dogs will be provided by Import Meet and NOS Energy Drink will provide free drinks.  If you would like to bring something along to grill, you are more than welcome.  Import Meet will also have a dedicated photographer that will take pictures of the meet as well as individual cars.  A tripod/camera station will be set up and pictures will be taken.  After the meet, there will be a blog post with all of the images from the event.  As an added benefit to Premium and Founding Members, we will provide the full resolution photos without a watermark.

What's the route?

In an effort to get people excited and make this one of the best meets of the season we will be selling T-shirts at the event for $15 including tax.  This is a great chance to support the Mt. Baker Import Run while receiving an awesome T-shirt.

Check out who's coming on the Facebook event page:  http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=187189904661404 – 74 people already!

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at this year's event!
