Do you think you own one of the best import street cars in the Pacific Northwest? We are now accepting applications from people who want to compete in the Import Meet Street Car Competition. Only cars that we feel will be the most competitive and are of the highest quality will be selected. If you are selected, there is a $325 (+ sales tax for WA residents) entry fee to compete. You will only be required to pay this fee if your car is selected and you still plan on competing. This entry fee covers all track/dyno fees, an official “Driver” IMSCC t-shirt, sticker pack, Garrett gear, Hawk gear, and other FREE products from sponsors. It does NOT include lodging, gas, or food.
Please take some time to read through the preliminary rules in the forum before applying. Leave your feedback in the thread if you think a rule should be adjusted or modified in any way. Once the competitors have been selected, we will lock down the rules and provide a final copy to each competitor. It is important that you take the time to provide us with as much information as possible about yourself and your vehicle. Complete applications will help us a write feature articles for each car that is selected.
We will be comparing the selected cars in the following categories:
- 1/4 Mile E.T. – Drag Racing (Pacific Raceways – Kent, WA)
- Peak Horsepower – Dyno – (Carb Connection – Kirkland, WA)
- Power Delivery – Dyno
- Autocross (Bremerton Motorsports Park – Bremerton, WA)
- Skidpad
- 0 – 60 – 0
- Car Show & Fabrication/Build Quality
- Fuel Economy
- Retail Price
- Ride Quality
Import street cars are defined as cars that are produced by non-US manufacturers, are regularly driven on the street, registered in the state in which the competitor resides, and covered by insurance. At minimum, all safety equipment must meet or exceed factory specifications. Cars must have a functioning heater.
In addition, all cars must have a factory dashboard and at least 2 front seats and door panels. Rear seats, door panels, stereo and a spare tire are not required but car show points will be deducted for cars with minimal interior and no audio system.
In May 2014, we will notify the final competitors and 5 backup cars via email. If you have any questions before applying, please email info@importmeet.com.
The IMSCC will be held on August 8th – August 10th, 2014 near Seattle, WA.
